Family of missing graduate share news of her passing away

Eimear Noonan, who last week had gone missing near Annonay in the south of France, has been found dead. Ms.Noonan, a recent UCC graduate, had been working as an english language teacher in the past months, and was reported missing by her family when she did not turn up for work in a local school.Ms.Noonan was a graduate of the university, having recently received an honours degree in French & Irish. A talented violinist, Eimear was involved in the UCC Orchestra in her time in the College.According to a statement reported in the Irish Examiner, an official for the local government said that they believe Ms.Noonan's death was an accident. It is believed that Ms.Noonan fell while running through a public park. An autopsy will be carried out over the next few days. A more detailed account can be found in the Examiner article linked above.In a statement released on Facebook last night Eimear's brother, Cathal Noonan, thanked her friends & members of the public, as well as the Irish & French authorities, for helping to try find Ms.Noonan.
