What is There to Say When All Has Been Said?
By Features Editor Chloe Barrett
At a certain point in the semester, my brain is, no matter how ineloquent it may sound, empty. Coursework has built itself into a wavering tower, constantly tilting like an earthquake is imminent. When I flee from that pile, I run smack dab into another, similarly threatening one, and so on forth. The cycle repeats, ouroboros if you will. I know that I most certainly am not the only one, so make sure to carve out some time for yourself during this busy season. You deserve it, regardless of what your mind might try to guilt trip you into believing.
Nevertheless, one must persist. This week I deliver unto you, dear reader, an interview with two lovely women, Irene and Cliona, and the topic of the lovely canines that you may have seen roaming around campus with their handlers. These are, of course, the wonderful assistance dogs. They are available to relieve the stress you may face as a student because petting a fluffy dog really does make everything better.
My two other pieces, albeit shorter, also deserve a little boost, methinks! A hopefully informative piece based on driving, specifically some tips that at least one person learning to drive out there will keep in mind next time they sit behind the wheel. And finally, a mini piece of me, now an adult, indulging myself with building a set of Lego. Riveting, I know, but it is a wholesome rediscovery of what joy, specifically of a youthful kind, can be like.
I hope that those of you out there who are big Express enjoyers have also checked out the fun Podcast that Mia, the most wonderful Film and TV editor, and I recorded. Let your ears be filled with the ramblings of two women as we talk about women (on TV).
