Wild Youth announced as headliners for Leopardstown Student Race Day
Wild Youth have been announced as the headliner for Ireland's biggest student event, the Leopardstown Student Race Day, on Wednesday April 4th. With 12,000 students set to travel to Leopardstown for the event, the announcement of one of Ireland's premier new bands as headliner is sure to lead to another sell-out crowd. The group, formed in 2016 in Dublin, had a monumental 2017, seeing the release of their two singles ‘All or Nothing’ and ‘Lose Control’ garner over one million streams. The band have already played festivals across the country, including Indiependence, Sea Sessions and Longitude, and will no doubt put on a performance to remember when they take to the stage once more on April 4th. The race day, sponsored by Spin 1038, is in its third year, and following on from the huge sell-out success of the previous two years, it looks set to get bigger and better than ever. Gates open on the day at 1pm before racing begins at 3:25pm. Throughout the day there will be prizes given for The Best Dressed Guy and Girl, sponsored by Jack & Jones and Vero Moda respectively, and there are prizes are on offer for those who go the extra mile to put in that extra bit of effort for the occasion. Speaking about the event, Vicki Donovan of Leopardstown racecourse noted that “Leopardstown Spin 1038 Student Raceday is one of the highlights of the calendar. The younger generation are so important for the future of racing and we are delighted when we see students returning to Leopardstown for other race meetings after first sampling the product at Student Raceday.”Spin 1038 Student Raceday is a fully ticketed event, for which prior booking is required. Tickets start at €12 before rising to €16 closer to the event. Tickets can be bought at www.leopardstown.com.
